Office
The Council of Engineers Thailand Headquarters was conceived as both an institutional workplace and a symbolic home for the country’s community of engineers. The brief called for an energy-efficient, innovative building that could embody the credibility and forward vision of the profession . The design employs Atelier of Architects’ Geometric approach, transforming technical requirements into a distinct architectural statement. The building was deliberately shaped to serve not only as an office but also as a public-facing institution, encouraging interaction with its surrounding environment. One of the most striking features is its structural expression. The upper floors are suspended using a large truss system, creating column-free interiors that enhance flexibility while projecting innovation to the outside world. This bold gesture ensures that the building itself becomes a demonstration of engineering principles in action—an architectural showcase of the very profession it represents. Sustainability was a central concern. Daylighting strategies, shading systems, and energy-conscious detailing were integrated to reduce the environmental footprint and align with the council’s vision of responsibility and progress. In its final form, the Council of Engineers Headquarters stands as more than a workplace. It is a symbol of professional identity, representing strength, resilience, and innovation—qualities essential to Thailand’s engineering community.
