The BKM Residence is conceived as a contemporary family home where proportion, light, and spatial clarity define the character of daily living. Set within an urban neighborhood, the project responds to the need for privacy while maintaining a sense of openness—creating a living environment that is both protected and expansive, composed and quietly expressive. The architecture begins with a disciplined geometric framework. Volumes are arranged with precision, forming a sequence of spaces that unfold around central living areas and extend outward toward garden edges and open terraces. This organizational clarity allows for long sightlines, natural ventilation, and a sense of visual calm that permeates the house. A defining feature of the BKM Residence is its treatment of light and layering. Carefully positioned windows draw daylight deep into the interior, while exterior planes extend to create sheltered thresholds and soft shadows. These layered edges blur the boundary between inside and outside—allowing greenery, breeze, and filtered light to become part of the living experience. Materiality is intentionally restrained: natural tones, durable surfaces, and subtle textures create a sense of grounded warmth without distracting from the purity of the architectural form. Every detail is designed to support comfort, ease of maintenance, and longevity—ensuring the home remains elegant and relevant for years to come.
